Hypnotherapy Course Dates

The ICH normally holds two Hypnosis Foundation Courses per year, usually starting in late February/early March and late September/early October.

The next Hypnotherapy Foundation Course now starts on 27th February 2010.

The Professional Hypnosis Course dates follow on from there.

The ICH does occasionally hold week-long, intensive Foundation Courses, either when demand for the next weekend Foundation Course exceeds the number of places available or as and when sufficient interest is registered. If you would like to register your interest for a possible future week-long Foundation Course, please contact the ICH office (see "Contact Us").

If you have any queries regarding the course dates, please contact the ICH.

Each training day starts promptly at 10am and finishes by 5pm. Lecturers are usually available from 9.30am for informal consultations and advice and you are, in any event, encouraged to arrive in good time so that lectures can begin on schedule.

There are two short breaks during the day of approximately 30 minutes each and lunch is normally taken between 1.00 - 2.15pm. However, these timings are at the discretion of the individual lecturer on each training weekend.

Cancellations will be accepted, and registration deposits refunded, up to 21 days prior to the start of the course for which you have enrolled. Alternatively, deposits can be carried forward to a future course, if you wish.

Once you have commenced training with the ICH, you will become liable for the instalment amounts, as set out above and these payments must be made on the date requested by the ICH. Any other payment arrangement will be by negotiation with the ICH.

If you decide to withdraw from a course (for whatever reason) after you have paid one or more of the instalments but before you have completed the course, you will not be entitled to a refund of the fees already paid. For example, if you were to withdraw from the Professional Course before Weekend Four (having already paid £1,220), you would not be entitled to a refund of these monies but you would not be required to pay the remaining £550. You would normally be permitted to rejoin another Professional Course at a later date but this is subject to discussion with the ICH. Our experience is that it is unusual for students to withdraw from courses once they have commenced their training. However, our refund policy is stated here for the sake of clarity.

Financial Help for Students
The ICH is a registered Learning Provider with the Learning Skills Council.  As such, certain students may qualify for a Professional and Career Development Loan - a commercial bank loan designed to help learners pay for learning that leads to work.

Professional and Career Development Loans are bank loans that can be used to help pay for work related learning.

You can borrow between £300 and £10,000 to help support the cost of up to two years of learning (or three years if it includes one year’s relevant unpaid practical work).

The Learning and Skills Council will pay the interest on the loan while you are learning and for one month afterwards. The loan can be used to pay course fees or other costs such as travel and living expenses. You can also use the loan to supplement other forms of support such as grants or bursaries. Because the Professional and Career Development Loan is a commercial loan product, they should only be considered as an option once all other student funding options have been investigated.

For further information on financial assistance to support your learning, please visit www.direct.gov.uk/adultlearning or contact Careers Advice on 0800 100 900.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD modules are normally only open to graduates of the ICH but if you wish to apply for a course and you are not an ICH graduate, please contact the ICH to discuss the skills and experience you have already obtained elsewhere.

By attending ICH CPD modules, you can study (and therefore accrue credit) for the additional ICH qualifications of the DHP (Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy) and the MCH (Master Clinical Hypnotherapist).

We are delighted to introduce four new CPD modules to the 2010 schedule:  "Advanced Meridian Techniques" and "Attracting Money" with Deborah Bromley, "PTSD" with John Hutchings and "Hypnosis and Entertainment" with Kim Robinson
