Teija Barr MSc MCH DHP DCH
Teija is the Principal of ICH and responsible for the learning development and all professional and ethical standards. She is also one of the ICH Lecturers. Originally an ICH graduate she has trained extensively in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnosis, NLP and CBT Coaching in United Kingdom and in the United States, and holds MSc in Clinical Hypnosis with Distinction. She is a keen learner and is working towards completing her Doctorate in Health Sciences.
Teija's works as a private therapist at Harley Street and in Dulwich as well as works as a consultant hypnotherapist in an occupational therapy team within an international corporation in London Canary Wharf.
Her work ethos is to help individuals perform better in their professional and personal lives by teaching how their beliefs influence their thoughts, emotions and behaviour. She believes in helping individuals lead better balanced lives, by resolving anxiety and inner conflicts and getting rid of unwanted and unhelpful habits in order to replace them with more beneficial ones. Teija understands the importance of relieving stress through deep relaxation of the body and mind and teaches on subconscious level how to prevent stress, build stamina and how take care of oneself. Her Workplace Group Relaxation and Mindfulness Sessions are incredibly popular and have helped many busy professionals let go of worries, de-stress and to re-energise.
Teija uses Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Hypnosis, NLP, CBT (REBT) as well EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), EMI (Eye Movement Integration) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Re-processing) to help her clients overcome vast number of issues such as stress, anxiety, fears and phobias, lack of self-esteem and confidence, poor performance, and helps them meet their personal and professional goals. She also offers Reiki treatments to those clients who seek this therapeutic healing system.
Her background is in Electronic Engineering, and with over 20 years of experience in Investment Banking and the Energy Trading Technology in the City of London Financial Sector, has gained a deep understanding of the issues people face at work and in their personal and professional lives. She has a specific interest in working with anxiety disorders as well as emotional disturbances caused by relationship issues.
