Cognitive Behavioural Coaching Certification

in partnership with CityCBT to offer an accredited coach training course (Association for Coaching at ACCT level)

For those people who are interested in becoming a coach, we are excited to announce that The ICH is partnering with CityCBT to offer an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Coaching Certification starting in September 2021.

This training is for anyone who has already trained as hypnotherapist and want to add to their skills. It is equally beneficial for anyone choosing to study this as a standalone course. The course will be delivered by CityCBT and is accredited with Association of Coaching at ACCT level.

Why Cognitive Behavioural coaching?

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) focuses on changing the two areas that as human beings we have control over:- namely our thoughts and behaviours.  It shows people how to change their philosophy so that they can adopt realistic, logical and pragmatic thinking into their professional and personal lives.  This in turn will lead to robust, constructive behaviour and resilience.  Its overall aim is to create a culture of co-operation, creativity and enthusiasm - which are the real drivers of success.

The emphasis will be on psycho-education rather than motivation to ensure clients  are psychologically able and have the competency skills to deal with 'tough' challenges.

Coaching is no longer viewed as a 'luxury' or some form of 'peripheral activity' but as an essential management and leadership tool.

What will you learn?

The course will be delivered via online classroom (Zoom) and includes a combination of classroom learning and practical role playing, you will learn:

  • The difference between coaching and therapy

  • The Cognitive Behavioural methodology

  • Solution-focussed coaching skills

  • The required attributes for coaching

The Training is for:

Those wanting a new career as a Life coach or Corporate Coach

Existing coaches, hypnotherapists, managers, supervisors, HR staff, trainers, psychologists, counsellors, healthcare and other professionals wanting to add to their skills
