Locations and the Schedule
Our diploma courses are run regularly, Foundation course normally twice followed by an annual professional course. The courses are run (UK) in London and (Finland) in Turku and Helsinki. Please visit relevant pages for more details.
Location of London training
Most of the ICH courses (including all of the weekend Foundation and Professional Courses) are held at King's College, The Strand or the Waterloo Campus in London, WC2. Both locations are within easy access of mainline and underground train stations.
The ICH hires the facilities at King's College. We wish to be clear that there is absolutely no link, academically or otherwise, to the university.
The venue to be used will be communicated to you when your place on a CPD course is confirmed. Alternatively, you can see which venue will be used for which CPD course by looking at the CPD courses page.
Car Parking at King's College
As is the case in many Central London locations, car parking is at a premium. We therefore regret that we are unable to offer any car parking facilities at King's College. However, it is well served by public transport as follows:
Main line stations:
Charing Cross, Waterloo and Waterloo East
Tube/Underground stations:
Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern lines)
Embankment (Bakerloo, Circle, District and Northern lines)
Holborn (Central and Piccadilly lines)
Temple (Circle and District lines)
Waterloo (Bakerloo, Jubilee and Northern lines)
Parking on Saturdays is subject to strict parking control and, if you decide to drive, you are advised to be exceptionally careful as to where you park. Parking restrictions on Sundays are more relaxed and, whilst offering no guarantees, it should be possible for you to park reasonably close to the college. There are a number of NCP car parks situated close to King's College and if you would like details of these please contact us.
Training Day
Each training day starts promptly at 10am and finishes by 5pm. Lecturers are usually available from 9.30am for informal consultations and advice and you are, in any event, encouraged to arrive in good time so that lectures can begin on schedule.
There are two short breaks during the day and lunch is normally taken between 1.00 - 2.15pm. However, these timings are at the discretion of the individual lecturer on each training weekend.
The ICH Recordings are a great resource for you to learn hypnotic inductions and/or revise and refresh already completed learning.
The collection includes:
-
11 full versions - complete demo of the induction, deepeners/ego-strengthening and the emerge process and explanation of the key points.
-
10 short versions - induction demo only for a quick reminder.
The collection of videos feature 11 hypnotic inductions, some which are taught on our Clinical Hypnosis Diploma training course. In fact, each one of the 11 full versions is actually a complete hypnotherapy session on it's own right as first the particular induction is used to induce trance, the trance is then deepened and the participant is given lots of confidence boosting suggestions for a healthier self-esteem (who would not want that?), before emerging the participant from the trance state. The important points about how to carry out the induction are then explained.
There are additionally 10 shorter versions available, giving you the option to watch the induction demonstration only.
